After School Tennis Club

This after school tennis club is exclusively for students from Overton Grange School and is held at Sutton Tennis & Squash Club, 19 Devonshire Road, SM2 5HH – just a 10-15 minute walk from Overton Grange

What to expect 

At these fun sessions, delivered by Head Tennis Coach, Karl Stowell, your child will:

• Learn how to serve, rally and score.
• Be active through movement, co-ordination, speed, balance and agility games.
• Improve technical ability and tactical knowledge.
• Play matches.
• Make friends and work in teams.
• Have fun!

About the course

• Students will walk/travel to Sutton Tennis & Squash Club after school
• Karl will meet the students at the club
• Male & female changing facilities are available at STSC, if needed. 
• The students enjoy the session on the tennis courts 
• Students are collected at STSC at the end of the session, or they can make their own way home.

What to bring / how to get there

Even though these are Overton Grange tennis sessions, they are organised by us, Sutton Tennis Coaching. Once you’re signed up, we’ll communicate all information with you. 

Children will make their own way to Sutton Tennis & Squash Club immediately after school. It is a 10-15 minute walk (0.5 miles). They are welcome to use the changing rooms at the club and can make their own way home after the session or be picked up.

Any sports clothes or PE kit. Children are welcome to bring their own rackets, but we can also provide rackets.
